Ingredients
  

For the Pasta

  • 8 ounces preferred pasta such as spaghetti

For the Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14 ounces)
  • ½ cup ricotta cheese
  • ¼ cup freshly chopped basil
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add diced tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in ricotta cheese and chopped basil. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Toss the cooked pasta with the sauce. Serve with Parmesan cheese if desired.
