Ingredients
  

For the Crust

  • 1 store-bought pie crust or homemade
  • 1 egg white lightly beaten for brushing

For the Filling

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips semi-sweet or bittersweet
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves toasted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the pie crust in a pie dish and brush with the beaten egg white.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate chips, eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.
  • Stir in the toasted pecans and pour the filling into the prepared crust.
  • Bake the pie for 50 minutes or until set.
  • Let it cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for added flavor.
