Ingredients
  

For the Dip

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until softened.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and thyme or parsley. Mix well.
  • Stir in the cooked mushrooms and garlic. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

Notes

Serve warm with tortilla chips, bread, or vegetables.
