Ingredients
  

For the Dough

  • 1 cup warm milk around 105-115°F or 40-46°C
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg at room temperature

For the Filling

  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for the filling
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for the filling
  • ½ cup strawberry jam

For the Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar for the glaze
  • 2 tablespoons milk for the glaze
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract for the glaze

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add flour, salt, melted butter, and egg to the mixture. Knead until a smooth dough forms. Let it rise for about 1 hour.
  • Roll out the dough and cut into donut shapes. Heat oil in a fryer and fry the donuts until golden brown.
  • For the filling, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and strawberry jam until smooth.
  • Once the donuts are cool, fill them with the cream cheese mixture.
  • For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the filled donuts.

Notes

These donuts can be served warm or at room temperature. You can also add more strawberry jam for extra flavor.
