Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert Tacos

This recipe combines taco shells with a creamy cheesecake filling and a sweet strawberry topping.

Ingredients
  

Taco Shells

  • 6 small flour tortillas
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Cheesecake Filling

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream

Strawberry Topping

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water (cornstarch slurry)

Instructions
 

  • Melt the butter and mix with sugar and cinnamon. Dip each tortilla in the mixture and cook in a skillet until golden brown.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream until smooth. Fill each taco shell with the cheesecake filling.
  • In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch slurry. Cook until thickened. Spoon over filled tacos before serving.

Notes

These tacos are best served fresh. You can also add chocolate drizzle for extra flavor.
