For the Cake

fresh strawberries
or 1 cup crushed fresh strawberries

French vanilla cake mix

strawberry gelatin mix
Jell-O

vegetable oil

water
For the Frosting

block
cream cheese
softened to room temperature
⅓
cup
unsalted butter
softened (you can use salted if that is all you have)

powdered sugar

teaspoon
vanilla extract

tablespoon
milk
more if needed to get desired texture
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the fresh strawberries, cake mix, gelatin mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix well.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cake cool before frosting.
For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
Frost the cooled cake and serve.
Notes
This cake is great for celebrations. You can add more strawberries on top for decoration.
