Ingredients
  

For the Bars

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup milk

For the Glaze

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk as needed for consistency

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs, vanilla extract, maple extract, sour cream, and milk to the butter mixture. Mix until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • While the bars are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, melted butter, maple syrup, maple extract, and milk until smooth.
  • Once the bars are cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
