Ingredients
  

For the Cobbler

  • cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1 ½ cups hot water

For the Topping

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, milk, vanilla, and sugar.
  • Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined. Pour the batter into a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over the batter. Pour hot water over the top without stirring.
  • In a small bowl, mix topping sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the mixture.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

This cobbler is best served warm with a scoop of ice cream. You can adjust the cinnamon according to your taste.
