Ingredients
  

For the Pasta

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 jar salsa 16 oz
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies 10 oz
  • 1 packet taco seasoning 1 oz
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta elbow macaroni or small shells
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup beef broth or water

Optional Add-ins

  • chopped onions
  • bell peppers
  • black beans
  • corn

Instructions
 

  • Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the browned meat, salsa, diced tomatoes, taco seasoning, pasta, and broth or water to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until pasta is tender.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Serve warm.

Notes

You can add chopped onions, bell peppers, black beans, or corn for extra flavor and nutrition.
