Ingredients
  

For the Base

  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

For the Topping

  • ¾ cup grape jelly or jam, or any other flavor
  • ½ cup salted peanuts, coarsely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, brown sugar, butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  • Add flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined.
  • Spread half of the batter in the prepared pan. Top with grape jelly and remaining batter.
  • Sprinkle chopped peanuts on top.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

Store the bars in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
