Oven-Fried Feta Rolls with Chili Honey

These oven-fried feta rolls are a delicious appetizer with a sweet and spicy chili honey drizzle.

Ingredients
  

For the Rolls

  • 8 oz feta cheese crumbled
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves optional

phyllo pastry

  • 6 sheets phyllo pastry cut in half lengthwise to make 12 sheets
  • ¼ cup melted butter or olive oil for brushing

For the Chili Honey

  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ teaspoon red chili flakes adjust to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine feta cheese, ricotta cheese, and thyme if using. Mix until well combined.
  • Take one sheet of phyllo pastry, brush it with melted butter or olive oil, and place another sheet on top. Repeat until you have 3 sheets.
  • Cut the layered phyllo into strips. Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture at one end and roll it up to form a roll. Seal the edges with more melted butter.
  • Place the rolls on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • In a small saucepan, heat honey and red chili flakes together until warm. Drizzle over the baked rolls.

Notes

Serve the rolls warm with the chili honey drizzle for the best flavor.
