Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

For the Pasta

  • 2 cups penne pasta (uncooked)
  • 1.5 cups water or chicken broth

For the Sauce

  • 0.75 cup BBQ sauce (preferably smoky variety)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: chopped parsley or green onion for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced chicken, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook until chicken is browned and cooked through.
  • Add penne pasta, water or broth, BBQ sauce, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low and cover. Cook for about 15 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or green onion if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

You can adjust the level of BBQ sauce and honey according to your taste preferences.
