Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust store-bought or homemade

For the Custard Filling

  • 3 large eggs room temperature
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg plus extra for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and salt until well combined.
  • Add in the milk, vanilla extract, and nutmeg, then mix until smooth.
  • Pour the custard mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the custard is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
