Ingredients
  

For the Apples

  • 4 apples thinly sliced (around 6 cups)
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar (for apples)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (for apples)

For the Topping

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • cup light brown sugar (for topping)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter cold and cut into small pieces

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples with light brown sugar and cinnamon. Toss to coat and spread evenly in a baking dish.
  • In another bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, light brown sugar, salt, and ground cinnamon for the topping. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert.
