Ingredients

Strawberry Layer

  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries, washed, hulled, and sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for brightness)

Cream Layer

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, cold
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk

Cake Layer (choose one)

  • 1 store-bought pound cake sliced into cubes
  • 1 prepared angel food cake cubed
  • 2 packages vanilla wafer cookies
  • 1 package ladyfinger cookies

Optional Toppings

  • Additional sliced strawberries
  • Crushed cookies
  • White chocolate shavings
  • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with granulated sugar and lemon juice. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
  • In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, then beat until stiff peaks form. In a separate bowl, blend the cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Choose your cake or cookies and layer them in a serving dish. Start with a layer of cake/cookies, followed by a layer of cream, and then a layer of strawberries. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the cream layer on top.
  • Add optional toppings as desired. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
