Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

For Assembly

  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup sliced tomatoes
  • ½ cup sliced red onion
  • 1 cup pineapple slices fresh or canned
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Coat the marinated chicken in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown.
  • Assemble the sandwiches with the fried chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and pineapple slices.
  • Spread mayonnaise mixed with sweet chili sauce and lime juice on the buns before adding the chicken.

Notes

You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less cayenne pepper. Serve with fries or your favorite side.
