Ingredients
  

For the Broccoli

  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for heat
  • to taste Salt and pepper

For Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese optional
  • as needed fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine broccoli florets, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
  • Spread the broccoli mixture on a baking sheet in an even layer.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the broccoli is tender and slightly crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of red pepper flakes based on your heat preference. This dish pairs well with grilled meats or as a standalone vegetarian option.
