For the Pie

store-bought or homemade

granulated sugar

whole milk

vanilla extract

Optional Topping

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, and salt. Mix well.
Add the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
If desired, sprinkle ground nutmeg or cinnamon on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
Let the pie cool before slicing and serving.
