Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Marinade

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Gyros

  • 4 pieces pita breads
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup sliced red onion

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Grill or cook chicken in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, about 20 minutes. Slice into strips.
  • Warm pita breads and fill them with chicken, tzatziki sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion.

Notes

You can add other toppings like cucumbers or feta cheese for extra flavor.
