For the Beignet Dough

For the Glaze

powdered sugar

Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and yeast.
Add the warm buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
Knead the dough until it is smooth, then let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Roll out the dough and cut it into squares. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the squares until golden brown.
For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Dip the fried squares in the glaze.
Notes
Serve the beignets warm for the best flavor. You can adjust the glaze thickness by adding more or less milk.
