For the Burger

black beans
drained and rinsed

breadcrumbs
plain or seasoned

onion

or 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal + 3 tablespoon water for vegan option

Instructions
In a mixing bowl, mash the black beans until mostly smooth.
Add breadcrumbs, minced onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder, egg (or flaxseed mix), cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into patties.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side until heated through and slightly crispy.
Serve on burger buns with your choice of toppings.
