Ingredients
  

For the Cod Fillets

  • 2 fillets cod (6 oz each) Look for thick, even cuts.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Regular olive oil handles high heat better.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Sticks better than fresh garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Choose sweet or smoked as per preference.
  • ½ teaspoon salt Kosher salt sticks to the fish better.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper Freshly cracked is preferred.
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional for a kick.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  • Coat the cod fillets with the spice mixture on both sides.
  • Place the fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the fillets. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.
