Ingredients
  

For the Sandwich

  • 4 slices bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Garnish

  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves optional

Instructions
 

  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • In a bowl, mash the avocado and mix in mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread the avocado mixture on unbuttered sides of two slices of bread.
  • Top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese, then place the other two slices of bread on top, buttered side out.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from heat, slice, and serve with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

You can add any other toppings or spices you like for extra flavor.
