For the Crumb Topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas and mix in the sugar, egg, and melted butter.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and set aside.
  • For the crumb topping, mix together brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and butter until crumbly. Sprinkle on top of the batter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store leftover banana bread in an airtight container for freshness. You can also freeze slices for later use.
