Ingredients
  

Cheesecake Filling

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese softened
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract or almond extract

Pastry Shell

  • 1 package Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough or puff pastry for more flakiness

Topping

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon or mix with nutmeg
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar for mixing with cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven according to the crescent roll dough instructions.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut into small squares.
  • Place a spoonful of the cheesecake filling in the center of each square and fold the corners over to seal.
  • Bake according to the dough instructions until golden brown.
  • Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Once the bites are baked, toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are still warm.

Notes

For a different flavor, try adding a bit of lemon zest to the cheesecake filling.
