Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk

Add-ins

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and chopped
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix wet ingredients: oil, eggs, vanilla, and milk.
  • Combine wet and dry mixtures until just combined. Fold in cherries and chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool before slicing.

Notes

You can use either fresh or frozen cherries for this recipe. Enjoy the bread warm or at room temperature.
