Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 2 20-ounce cans apple pie filling
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

For the Topping

  • 1 ½ cups Kraft caramels, unwrapped and cut in half
  • 1 box dry yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup butter, cut into ¼ inch thick pats

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a baking dish, spread the apple pie filling evenly. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over the filling.
  • Evenly distribute the cut caramels over the apple pie filling.
  • Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the top.
  • Place the pats of butter on top of the cake mix.
  • Bake for 45 minutes until the top is golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for a delightful treat.
