For the Apples

apples peeled and cut into ½ inch cubes

butter

brown sugar

For the Cobbler Mixture

For the Sauce

brown sugar

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the apples, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well and layer in a baking dish.
In another bowl, mix the self-rising flour, granulated sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until combined.
Pour the cobbler mixture over the apples in the baking dish.
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and hot water. Stir until dissolved and pour over the cobbler.
Bake for 40 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown.
Notes
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for extra flavor.
