Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Garlic Aioli

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For Assembly

  • 4 pieces brioche buns
  • to taste leafy romaine lettuce
  • to taste sliced tomatoes

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk and Cajun seasoning. Add the chicken breasts and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Remove chicken from marinade, coat in the flour mixture, and set aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  • While the chicken is cooking, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl to make the garlic aioli.
  • To assemble, spread garlic aioli on the brioche buns, add lettuce, the fried chicken, and sliced tomatoes. Top with the other half of the bun and serve.

Notes

You can add additional toppings like pickles or cheese if desired.
