Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, milk, cut-up butter, granulated sugar, salt, ground cinnamon, and mashed bananas to form a dough.
Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Roll out the dough and spread softened butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and chopped banana on top. Roll it up and cut into rolls.
Place the rolls on a baking sheet and let them rise again. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown.
For the frosting, beat together browned butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Add milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
For the candied walnuts, melt butter in a pan, add walnuts and sugar, and cook until caramelized. Sprinkle on top of rolls before serving.
Notes
These rolls are best served warm. You can add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
