Ingredients
  

For the Fritters

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

For the Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the diced apples.
  • Scoop the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, forming fritters.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • While the fritters bake, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the fritters once they have cooled slightly.

Notes

For a thicker glaze, add more powdered sugar. You can also experiment with different types of apples.
